During cooler months, guests enjoy spending more time outside the vehicles while our Adventure Guides share desert stories, survival knowledge, flora, fauna, local history, and Arizona desert lore.

In the summer, the ride itself is usually the most enjoyable part because the Tomcars are moving, the air is flowing, and our trail area is typically a few degrees cooler than Phoenix and Scottsdale resort areas. The tougher part of a summer desert tour is standing still in direct sun for too long.

That is why this adventure keeps the same scenic Tomcar route but shortens the stops. You still get the guide entertainment and desert interpretation — just in a smarter summer format that spends more time enjoying the trail and less time standing in the heat.

This tour runs from approximately 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, which allows it to end about an hour earlier than our traditional Half-Day Tomcar ATV Tour.

Our Tomcars are purpose-built off-road vehicles designed for rugged desert use. They provide great visibility, a stable ride, and a fun open-air driving experience.

Guests 18 and older are not required to wear helmets and goggles because our Tomcars are equipped with full roll cages and windshields.

Our Adventure Guides are there to do more than point you down a trail. They lead the convoy, explain the route, manage safety, keep the group together, and make the tour entertaining from start to finish.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
^{A minimum of 2 adult tickets must be purchased per reservation.  All vehicles are 4 seat vehicles.  If you have 2 empty seats, you may be combined with another group of 2 unless a Private Vehicle Upgrade is selected during the booking process ($99 upgrade per car of 2).  NOTE: This upgrade will not be refunded due to the number of guests on the tour.  Use of the discount codes above must be accompanied by a valid corresponding ID at time of tour to maintain discount.  Guests under 18 years of age must wear a DOT Approved helmet, by federal law, which can be supplied by DWT.  Must be 16* years or older with a valid Driver’s License to operate a Tomcar.  (*Minor drivers, defined as 16 and 17 year olds, with a valid drivers license may operate the Tomcar with Parents Assumption of Financial Liability.  $1,500 hold to be placed on card at the time of check-in for minor drivers.
